Journal
One thing that I found that was surprising about my topic is that more firefighters die from to much stress than actual fires. In 2004 I found that around a 110 firefighters died altogether and 66 of them were because of to much stress. This is an interesting fact for me based on the fact that it has hard to wrap your brain around this fact. I do thing that the least surprising fact that I have found so far is that most firefighters do not talk about their stress because they think that it is a weakness of theirs to have stress.

Another interesting fact is that you used the word "fact" three times in one sentence. Otherwise I had no idea that stress was a bigger factor than fires. Keep doing work.
ReplyDeleteDid the firefighters who died from stress have heart attacks? How were researchers able to make the connection between stress on the job and cause of death?
